Intermeccanica is now offering an AUDI liquid-cooled engine package for 2012 production year.
We now offer both Roadster and Speedster models with a 2.0 liter Audi 4 cylinder engine with 135 hp. This new modern powerplant is now the standard engine. We are also offering the Roadster and Speedster as a complete package with the most popular options for the air-cooled cars as standard equipment. We can still customize your car but are now starting with a base car that represents what most clients want.
The new AUDI powerplant also comes with modern fuel injection. This eliminates the smell of fuel from the carbs, allows easy start-up, eliminating the need for a manual choke and replicates the overall driving experience to that of a modern car.
This change is to assist a potential customer from getting confused with the endless options in the old build sheet. It also allows us to maintain our pricing even with the new powerplant by standardizing the build and consequently our cost.
